A Glider and Heli and Powerd Flight day at Alecs

Thanks to everyone who turned out to the event at Alec's - A great day had by all, flying, tuning, towing, learning, turning and crashing!

It all started early in the morning...

Smoko was served in the tradition 'help your self' way and planes were getting unpacked all over the front lawn, with helicopters hovering over head... (dangerous)

Fun day at Alec's

Alec has an helicopter, several to be fair,

He demonstrated flying them while we were visiting there.

He soared and dived both left and right

And gave us all an awful fright.

But precision and control is what he taught us there that day.

And lectured us and showed us in his very special way.

What is good and what ends in tears,

He strove to quel our many fears,

New features

Following the comments made at the last meeting, I have made a few additions.

First, there are now groups, you need to sign yourself up. The first is a buy + sell , which many of you were asking about. Piper Cub towing company

Have finished adding a releasable tow hook to the Piper Cub.

I need to trial the system and need more practice at towing. Anyone game to be a genuine guinea fowl? Not able to use the colloquialism of Ginny Pig as the 'swine police' are everywhere and the govt have just increased their presence.

I have connected the tow release just behind the CG and is activated using the landing lights control.

Works OK on the ground now need to put it in the air and release something.

How to Mod out your pic!!!!

Go to this link: http://goremodelaircraft.ning.com/profiles/settings/editProfileInfo

It says "profile photo" - click on the camera, click "upload...." and then hit brouse and find a photo of your choice. Then click DONE.

That's it!! Magic eh???
